WHAT TO EXPECT
The trek starts from Pokhara, where you'll drive for 30 minutes to Kande. Along the way, you will pass the Himalayan viewpoint commonly known as Australian Camp. The trail leads through small winding paths, meandering through magical rhododendron forests until you ascend out of the forest at an elevation of around 3,300 m. During the trek, you will stay in simple guesthouses and homestays along the entire route, savouring local cuisine while enjoying outstanding landscapes. You'll also marvel at panoramic views of massive mountains, including the less-climbed peak Mardi Himal, Annapurna South, Hiunchuli, and the sacred Peak Machapuchre.
From High Camp (3,580 m), you can ascend to Mardi Himal Base Camp in about 3-4 hours, which offers spectacular close-up views of the entire Annapurna Range.
